Bringing the world together: a leading UK Defence company’s 2024 Global Recognition Gala
At CLE, we believe events have the power to unite people across borders, time zones, and cultures. Few projects demonstrate this better than our clients Global Recognition Gala, an annual celebration designed to honour employees in the USA, UK, and Australia.
What began as a virtual broadcast during the pandemic has evolved into a hybrid, multi-continent gala, connecting our clients global community in one shared experience. For the 2024 edition, CLE partnered with production specialists to reimagine the format, making it more engaging, immersive, and unified than ever before.
One gala, three continents
The primary challenge of this event is creating a seamless celebration across three regions, making 450 participants feel as though they are part of the same event, when in reality they were oceans apart.
This year, CLE choreographed a carefully timed programme featuring a live global link up between all venues during the awards. Each region enjoyed its own unique style while sharing the same sense of occasion:
- USA: celebratory brunch during the awards
- UK: awards after a networking lunch, culminating in a festival with street food stalls and live music
- Australia: a classic evening gala dinner
By managing time zones, regional traditions, and a unified global schedule, we ensured the event flowed as one continuous experience, not three separate ceremonies.
Our Role
CLE was entrusted with overarching management of the 2024 Global Recognition Gala. Our responsibilities included:
- Venue sourcing and accommodation management in each of the three locations
- Seating plans, logistics, and onsite coordination
- Catering design and delivery, tailored to each region’s schedule
- Health and safety compliance across all sites
- Financial management, ensuring the event delivered value without compromise
- Decor, styling, floral design, and furniture curation, creating a cohesive global look while celebrating local character
Our team was present at each location, overseeing setup, execution, and teardown to guarantee a polished, engaging and cohesive experience.
