The 2023 Leadership Conference at The Conrad, Washington DC did exactly that, bringing together the company’s most senior voices for two days of dynamic discussion, innovative thinking, and strategic planning, all delivered in a venue designed to impress.
The Challenge
Our client needed a world class event to unite its global leadership community. The brief: create a seamless, high impact conference that would nurture collaboration, support worldwide engagement, and reflect the company’s reputation for innovation.
Our Approach
CLE managed every element from venue sourcing and production design to catering, logistics, and delegate experience. The Conrad Hotel was carefully chosen for its ability to host large plenary sessions alongside smaller breakout spaces, with light filled communal areas perfect for networking.
Working in partnership with our production team, we created a striking set design featuring large LED screens, integrated live streaming, and virtual speaker participation. A meticulously managed running order and autocue system ensured sessions flowed seamlessly and on schedule.
Behind the scenes, CLE coordinated hotel reservations, delegate arrivals, and dietary requirements, developing bespoke menus with the in-house catering team. We also organised health and safety compliance, financial management, and creative styling, delivering a cohesive, first-class delegate experience.

To complement the main conference, CLE curated two bespoke evening experiences designed to showcase Washington DC and encourage meaningful connections.
Networking Event – The Dockmaster at The Wharf
A relaxed yet sophisticated evening brought the company’s leaders together at The Dockmaster, a vibrant waterfront venue with stunning views. CLE styled the space with modern florals and bespoke furniture, managed all catering and supplier coordination, and ensured smooth travel logistics. The result was an elegant, social environment that perfectly balanced comfort, style, and connection.
Formal Dinner – Anderson House
The formal dinner at Anderson House presented an historic and memorable setting. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes while exploring the mansion’s impressive rooms and art collection, ultimately entering the grand dining room via the first floor gallery for a three course dining experience. The evening concluded with digestifs on the terrace by the pool. CLE managed every detail, including venue sourcing, budget control, styling, menu consultation, and on-the-night coordination.
